Who We Are:

IFML is a group of committed Christians serving as consultants seeking to assist you while you grow as a ministry leader in your place of service.

Our Mission:

To seek and serve locally and nationally ministry leadership positions by engaging, equipping and encouraging servant leaders in their called place of ministry.

IFML Founder – David C. Smith, M.Div., CPE

Picture 1David was born in Worcester, Massachusetts on May 13, 1952 the youngest of five children to Stephen and Jean Smith (Both deceased) David’s father was a successful international businessman and his mother: a wife, homemaker and socially-active community volunteer. David has three sisters and a brother (deceased).

David attended North Yarmouth Academy, Yarmouth Maine and graduated from The University of Texas, Austin Texas where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Government/Political Science with a concentration in International Affairs. In addition, David received his Master of Divinity degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina.

David’s business career previous to the inception of the Institute for Ministry Leadership, centered primarily in banking, commercial real estate development, corporate creative marketing, strategic partnership development, operations and leadership centered positions in various industries giving him a well rounded view into such aspects as: leadership, group dynamics, mentoring, accountability and coaching within corporate and ministry organizations.

David, wife and three children live in West St. Louis County Missouri.
